A box spanner combines the function of a socket wrench with an extended tubular handle, giving greater leverage and access to hard-to-reach places. Made from carbon steel, it is designed for mechanical, service and assembly work.
The hole through the handle allows a tommy bar or rod to be fitted, which significantly increases torque. This is particularly useful when loosening seized or corroded fasteners.
Carbon steel offers suitable hardness and mechanical strength, providing resistance to deformation under load. This material performs well in workshop and service conditions.
The 10 mm socket is one of the most common sizes in the metric tool system. It fits M6 bolts and nuts, which are widely used in automotive, mechanical and metal construction work.
The box design provides greater reach than standard socket wrenches, allowing work in deep recesses, on underbody components or in recessed mounting points.

Before use, check that the 10 mm size matches the bolt or nut. Selecting the wrong spanner will damage the edges of the fastener and make subsequent removal more difficult. For metric fasteners, a 10 mm spanner fits M6 bolts.
The tommy bar hole in the handle allows an additional rod or bar to be fitted, which increases the lever arm. Excessive extension of the lever should be avoided, however, as it can damage the spanner or the bolted joint. For very tight connections, the use of penetrating oil is recommended.
After use, clean the spanner of dirt and oil. Carbon steel requires protection against corrosion - the tool should be stored in a dry place. Periodic oiling prevents rust and helps to keep it in good working order.
