Swedish pattern adjustable spanner, 250 mm long, with a jaw adjustment mechanism covering 0-30 mm. Made from chrome vanadium steel with a rubberised handle.
A steel alloy with added chromium and vanadium offers increased resistance to abrasion and deformation. Chromium raises hardness and corrosion resistance, while vanadium increases the material's mechanical strength and elasticity.
The worm drive allows smooth adjustment of the jaw opening from zero to 30 mm. It handles metric nuts and bolts from M6 to M20, as well as flat-section components up to 30 mm.
The rubber coating increases friction between the hand and the tool, ensuring a stable grip when tightening. It also reduces the vibration transmitted to the hand during intensive work.
The scale marked on the spanner body makes it easier to pre-set the jaw opening without having to measure the nut. It speeds up work on repetitive tasks.

The 10" size refers to the overall length of the tool (250 mm), not the jaw opening. For typical home and workshop applications, a 10" spanner with a capacity of up to 30 mm handles most standard nuts. For work with components above M20, a 12" spanner or larger is required.
Before starting work, set the jaw opening slightly smaller than the nut size, then seat the spanner and tighten the adjustment mechanism until it grips securely. A setting that is too loose can damage the edges of the nut.
After finishing work, clean the jaws of any contamination and apply a thin layer of oil to the worm drive. Storing the spanner in a dry place prevents corrosion of the moving parts. Check the play in the adjustment mechanism regularly – excessive play reduces the precision of the grip.
