YATO YT-04583 Screw Extractor Bit Set for Damaged Screws – 11 Pieces
A set of specialist screw extractors designed to remove screws with damaged heads – both hex and Allen heads. It contains 11 pieces in sizes from H1.5 to H10, made from chrome vanadium steel. The spiral flute profile bites effectively into the damaged screw head.

Spiral flute profile
The spiral design allows the tip to bite progressively into the damaged screw head as it is turned. The tip geometry reduces slippage and provides a secure grip even on completely rounded hex or Allen socket edges.
Chrome vanadium CrV steel
The material offers increased hardness and wear resistance. The addition of chromium improves corrosion resistance, while vanadium enhances mechanical strength. CrV steel retains its properties under intensive use and high torsional loads.
Two standard drive sizes
The set includes bits with 1/4" (6.3 mm) and 3/8" (9.5 mm) drives, allowing them to be fitted to standard ratchets, impact drivers and sockets. The 1/2" x 3/8" adaptor extends compatibility with tools that have larger drives.
Complete size range

How a spiral screw extractor for damaged screws works
The spiral flute profile uses a progressive biting action. When turned in the removal direction (anti-clockwise), the spiral cuts into the material of the damaged screw head. The greater the torque, the deeper the tip penetrates the surface, creating a secure mechanical grip.
How to use spiral extractors
Before use, clean the surface of the screw head of rust and dirt. Position the extractor perpendicular to the screw axis and apply firm pressure while turning. For heavily seized screws, applying a penetrating oil and waiting 15-30 minutes before attempting removal is recommended. For screws tightened to a high torque, using a ratchet with an extended handle or an impact driver is advisable.

Storage and maintenance
The set is supplied in a plastic case with moulded slots that protect the tools from mechanical damage and make it easy to identify any missing pieces. After use, clean the extractors of any material residue and coat them with a thin layer of protective oil. Store in a dry place and protect from moisture, which causes corrosion.
