A 12-point socket with a 1/2-inch drive and 15 mm hex size, made from CrV 50BV3 chrome vanadium steel using drop forging with calibrated dimensions.
The steel alloy with added chromium and vanadium offers increased hardness and wear resistance. The 50BV3 designation indicates a chemical composition that provides flexibility while withstanding torsional loads, which prevents the socket from cracking during intensive work.
The design with twelve working points allows the fastener to be engaged every 30 degrees, compared with 60 degrees for six-point profiles. This gives greater freedom of movement in confined spaces and reduces the risk of damaging the corners of bolts or nuts during tightening.
The drop forging process produces a uniform material structure free from internal stresses. Calibration is an additional stage of precise dimensional matching, which eliminates play between the socket and the fastener and ensures full contact of the working surfaces.
The 1/2" (12.7 mm) standard is a universal drive size used in professional workshop tools. It allows the socket to be used with ratchets, speed braces, extension bars and torque wrenches with the same square drive size.

The socket works with all tools fitted with a 1/2" square drive. Before use, check that the 15 mm size matches the nuts or bolts in the assembly being worked on. For metric fasteners, the 15 mm socket is mainly intended for M10 threads.
12-point sockets must be used only within their intended application. Do not use extension bars that increase leverage beyond the values permitted for the given drive size. After use, clean the socket of dirt and protect it against corrosion with a thin layer of oil.
When working with a torque wrench, take account of the tightening torque specification for the specific joint. Exceeding the permitted values may damage the thread or deform the socket. If the working points become worn, the socket should be withdrawn from service.
