Hex socket with a 1/2-inch square drive and a 16 mm hex size, made from vanadium steel. Designed for use with torque wrenches, ratchets and spinner handles in a 1/2" drive socket system.
The standard square drive size (12.7 mm) ensures compatibility with most professional torque wrenches, ratchets and spinner handles. The 1/2" drive system is used mainly in automotive workshops and in industry for torque values from 40 to 200 Nm.
The socket fits M10 hex bolts and nuts. This size is common in car wheel fixings, chassis components and hydraulic and plumbing installations.
Steel alloyed with vanadium offers increased hardness and wear resistance. The material retains its mechanical properties even under repeated high-torque loads, which extends tool life in professional use.
Six points of contact with the nut spread the rotational forces evenly over a larger area, minimising the risk of damage to the edges of fasteners. The design provides a secure grip even when working with rusty or dirty fasteners.

Before use, make sure the socket size matches the size of the nut or bolt. The 16 mm socket is designed for M10 fasteners. A fit that is too loose may damage the edges, while forcing the socket onto a larger component may deform it.
Hex sockets require regular maintenance to remain fully functional. After each use, remove contamination from inside the socket and from the drive. Dirt particles left behind can prevent correct seating on the drive tool or on the nut.
Vanadium steel is resistant to corrosion, but prolonged exposure to moisture can lead to surface oxidation. Sockets should be stored in a dry place, optionally with a light protective oil applied to the surface.
When working with a torque wrench, observe the recommended torque range for the 1/2" drive system. Exceeding the permitted values may damage the drive mechanism or deform the hex profile.
