1/2" Hose Quick Connector with Water Stop SKY-LINE (240)
A quick connector with an automatic water shut-off function. A watering system component that allows attachments to be swapped quickly without turning the water off at the tap.
Features
Water Stop mechanism
The non-return valve closes automatically when an attachment is disconnected. It prevents water leaks when swapping accessories – there is no need to go back to the tap to turn the water off. It saves water and makes changing tools easier.
Rubberised surface
The outer rubber layer provides a secure grip during fitting and removal. The non-slip surface also works with wet hands, which matters when attachments are changed frequently while watering.
Weather-resistant construction
The body is made from plastic with enhanced mechanical resistance. It withstands impacts, drops and temperature changes typical of garden use. The material does not corrode and requires no maintenance.
1/2" standard
The 1/2 inch (12.5 mm internal) diameter is the most popular size in garden systems. Compatible with most hoses and accessories on the market – no additional adapters required.

Use and maintenance
Fitting
Push the connector onto the end of a 1/2" hose. Secure the connection with hose clips if the hose does not have a pre-fitted sleeve. Make sure the hose is pushed fully home inside the connector.
Connecting attachments
Slide the locking ring back towards the connector body. Push the attachment in as far as it will go. Release the ring – the mechanism will lock the connection. Pull on the attachment to check that it is secure.
Water Stop function
When the attachment is disconnected, the valve closes off the water flow automatically. This does not mean a completely watertight seal – a slight drip may occur due to residual pressure in the hose. This is normal behaviour for a non-return valve.
Storage
Drain the connector of water before the winter season. Store indoors, protected from frost. The rubberised surface does not need lubricating – simply rinse it periodically to remove soil and deposits.
