A complete Torx tool set for 1/2" drive, comprising E-type sockets and T-type bits. Made from chrome vanadium steel, it is compatible with professional torque wrenches and ratchets.
Set features
External Torx (E) profile
Sockets with an external Torx profile are designed for screws with a star-shaped stud on the outside of the head. They are used on fasteners that require high tightening torque, particularly in the automotive and mechanical engineering industries. The 38 mm length provides access to components mounted deeper.
Internal Torx (T) bits
Sockets with Internal Torx bits are used with standard Torx screws (star-shaped recess). The replaceable bit design allows a worn working element to be changed quickly without replacing the entire socket, which reduces running costs.
Chrome vanadium steel (CrV)
The chrome-vanadium alloy combines increased hardness with retained resilience. The addition of chromium improves resistance to corrosion and abrasion, while vanadium improves mechanical strength. This material ensures a long service life under dynamic loads.
1/2" drive
The 12.7 mm (1/2") square drive is a professional standard, compatible with most ratchets, torque wrenches and workshop accessories. It transmits torque of up to approximately 200-300 Nm, depending on the socket size.

Difference between Torx E and Torx T
External Torx (E) is an external profile — the socket fits over a star-shaped stud on the screw. Internal Torx (T) is an internal profile — the socket fits into a star-shaped recess in the screw. The two types are not interchangeable and each requires the correct tool for the fastener type.
Use and maintenance
Before starting work, check that the socket size matches the screw — using the wrong size will damage the profile and jam the fastener. For sockets with replaceable bits, check the condition of the bit regularly and replace it when the working edges are visibly worn.
When tightening Torx screws, avoid working at an angle — the tool should be positioned perpendicular to the screw axis. On heavily corroded or seized fasteners, use penetrating oil and increase force gradually to avoid snapping the bit or damaging the profile.
After finishing work, clean the sockets of dirt and oil. CrV steel is corrosion-resistant, but prolonged storage in a damp environment can cause surface rust. Store the set in its original packaging or a tool box.
