A charger for lead-acid batteries in cars, vans and lorries. It supports 12V and 24V systems with a charging current of up to 30A.
Support for two voltage standards allows the charger to work with batteries in cars (12V) as well as in lorries and vans (24V). Switching between modes makes it possible to charge different battery types with the same unit.
The charger handles batteries with a capacity of 92 to 300 amp-hours. The lower limit corresponds to typical car batteries, while the upper figure covers batteries in commercial and heavy goods vehicles. A charging current of 20–30A ensures effective replenishment of energy within a reasonable time.
The unit features a 30A UNI-type fuse protecting the main circuit and a 5A cartridge fuse protecting the control electronics. The design protects against the effects of incorrect polarity connection and short circuits in the installation.
The IP21 rating means protection against finger access to live parts and against vertically falling water drops. The unit is intended for use in workshop premises and is not suitable for outdoor operation with direct exposure to rain.

Charging time depends on the depth of battery discharge and its capacity. For a 100 Ah battery discharged to 50% at a current of 25A, the charging time will be around 2 hours (50 Ah / 25A). Do not leave the battery charging unattended for a prolonged period once it is fully charged.
The unit is supplied with spare fuses of both types. Before replacing a fuse, disconnect the charger from the mains and establish why it blew. Fitting a fuse with a higher amperage than recommended may damage the electronics or create a fire hazard.
The IP21 rating requires use in enclosed premises protected from precipitation. Ensure adequate ventilation during charging – the process releases gases from the battery. Do not cover the ventilation openings in the charger housing.
