The KD11807 sanding discs are a pack of 50 abrasive discs, 125 mm in diameter and P40 grit, designed for disc sanders with hook and loop (Velcro) backing. The P40 grit rating makes these discs a coarse abrasive, intended for aggressive material removal, surface levelling and initial sanding.
Product features
P40 grit – coarse sanding
P40 grit denotes large abrasive grains that cut aggressively into the material. Discs of this grade are well suited to stripping old lacquer finishes, levelling uneven surfaces and initial stock removal — before the subsequent stages of sanding with finer abrasives.
Dust extraction holes
The discs are fitted with holes that align with the sander's dust extraction system. Effective removal of dust from the sanding surface prevents the abrasive grains from clogging, extends the life of the disc and reduces heat build-up in the tool during use.
Hook and loop backing
The hook and loop (Velcro) attachment system allows discs to be changed quickly without additional tools. The disc stays firmly attached to the sander's backing pad during use, and removing it and fitting a new one takes just seconds. This is the standard setup for 125 mm random orbital and disc sanders.
Pack of 50
A bulk pack of 50 discs in the same grit is practical for work involving heavy sanding, where abrasive consumption is high. Keeping a supply of discs avoids downtime caused by having to restock materials.

Compatibility — what to check before buying
125 mm hook and loop discs fit random orbital (eccentric) sanders and angle grinders with a 125 mm backing pad fitted with a Velcro system. Before buying, check the diameter of the sander's backing pad and the layout of the dust extraction holes — the number and position of the holes in the disc should match those in the tool's backing pad for the dust extraction system to work correctly.

Grit sequence for multi-stage sanding
P40 grit is used first in a multi-stage sanding process. After coarse sanding, the surface should be sanded in turn with progressively higher grits (e.g. P80, P120, P180), gradually smoothing the surface. Skipping the intermediate stages makes it difficult to remove the deep scratches left by P40.
