Sanding disc with hook and loop fixing for random orbital sanders. The semi-open aluminium oxide coating delivers efficient sanding without clogging the abrasive surface.
Technical features
Semi-open coating
Abrasive grains spaced apart prevent dust from clogging the paper, particularly when sanding soft and resinous materials. This extends disc life and maintains consistent sanding performance.
P150 grit
A medium-grit paper used to smooth surfaces after working with coarser grits. It removes scratches left by P80–P120 and prepares the surface for finish sanding or painting.
Aluminium oxide (corundum)
An abrasive with a Mohs hardness of 9 that resists crumbling. The resin bond provides flexibility and withstands the dynamic loads generated by a random orbital sander.
Hook and loop fixing
A tool-free system for quick disc changes. Compatible with random orbital sanders fitted with a 125 mm hook and loop backing pad.

How to check compatibility
Make sure your sander has a 125 mm hook and loop backing pad. Check the number of dust extraction holes in the pad – the disc should have a matching hole pattern for effective dust removal during use.
Use and maintenance
Before fitting a disc, clean the sander's backing pad of any residue from the previous paper and dust. Press the disc evenly onto the whole pad surface, avoiding creases. Dust extraction is recommended during use – it extends disc life and improves sanding quality.
Replace the disc when the abrasive grains become blunt (indicated by reduced sanding performance and heat build-up in the workpiece) or when the paper backing tears. Avoid applying excessive pressure – the weight of the sander alone is sufficient for effective work.
Grit sequence
P150 is typically used after P100 or P120. The next step may be P180 or P220 to achieve a smoother surface before finishing. Skipping intermediate grits increases working time and can leave visible scratches.
