125mm diameter sanding discs with P40 grit, designed for aggressive sanding and material removal. The hook and loop attachment system and 8 dust extraction holes ensure convenient working with random orbital sanders.
P40 grit is a coarse abrasive paper intended for rapid material removal, stripping old paint coatings, levelling uneven surfaces and preparing the surface for further work with finer grits.
The 125mm diameter is the most popular sanding disc size and is compatible with most random orbital sanders on the market. Before purchase, check the backing pad diameter on your sander.
The hook and loop (Velcro) system allows worn discs to be replaced instantly without tools. The disc attaches to the sander's backing pad fitted with the hook side and can be removed in a single movement.
The 8-hole pattern works together with the sander's dust extraction system. The holes must align with those in the tool's backing pad, which ensures effective dust removal during work and extends disc life.

125mm P40 sanding discs work with random orbital (eccentric) sanders fitted with a 125mm hook and loop backing pad. Before purchase, check the backing pad diameter and the dust extraction hole pattern on your tool. The standard 8-hole pattern is the most common, but other configurations (6 or 9 holes) are also available.
When working with P40 sanding discs, apply the appropriate pressure to the sander - too much shortens disc life and loads the motor, while too little reduces sanding efficiency. P40 grit generates a considerable amount of dust, so connecting the sander to an industrial vacuum or dust bag is recommended.
Sanding discs should be stored in a dry place, away from sources of moisture. Moisture weakens the hook and loop backing and may cause the abrasive grains to become detached. After finishing work, it is worth cleaning any remaining dust from the sander's backing pad, which ensures better adhesion of subsequent discs.
Once a P40 disc is worn, the surface is usually sanded with finer grit discs (P80, P120, P180) to achieve a smooth finish. Moving directly from P40 to very fine grits may leave visible scratches.
