The 14 mm combination spanner is a basic workshop tool that combines the functions of an open-ended spanner and a ring spanner in a single body. Model YT-0343 with a satin chrome finish resists corrosion and ensures a long service life in workshop conditions.
The ring end is offset at 15°, which allows work in confined spaces where a standard straight spanner does not provide a sufficient range of movement. After each turn the spanner can be repositioned without taking it off the nut, which speeds up tightening and loosening of fasteners.
The chrome layer protects the steel against corrosion and oxidation in the workshop environment. The satin finish prevents light glare during work, making it easier to position the spanner precisely on the nut. The smooth surface protects chromed components from damage during servicing.
Careful polishing of the inside of the ring end reduces friction and makes it easier to fit the spanner onto nuts in hard-to-reach places. The smooth internal surface reduces the risk of damaging the edges of the bolt or nut during intensive work, which matters with components made from soft materials.
The overall length of 190 mm strikes a balance between torque and the ability to work in confined spaces. This length allows typical bolted joints to be tightened effectively without excessive effort, while still giving access where longer spanners would be unwieldy.

The 14 mm size refers to the distance between the flats of the nut or bolt head (commonly known as the spanner size). To check compatibility, measure the width of the nut with a cloth or a caliper — if it is 14 mm, the spanner will fit. The ring end has a 12-point profile, which allows the spanner to be fitted every 30° instead of every 60° as with a six-point profile.
When working with a combination spanner, the appropriate end should be selected for the type of joint. The ring end provides better distribution of force and a lower risk of damaging the nut edges, so it is used for tightening to a specified torque and for loosening seized fasteners. The open end is suitable where access prevents the ring end from being fitted.
Pipe extensions that increase leverage should be avoided — a 190 mm spanner is designed to transmit a defined torque safely. Exceeding this torque can permanently deform the spanner or damage the bolted joint.
After use, remove contamination with a soft brush or cloth. If the tool has come into contact with corrosive substances, rinse it with water and dry it. The chrome coating does not require additional lubrication, but for long-term storage the spanner should be protected from moisture. Regular inspection of the heads makes it possible to detect any damage before a failure occurs during work.
