Features
18 mm carbon steel blade
The 18 mm width is a format intended for cutting thicker and harder materials than standard 9 mm blades. Carbon steel holds its cutting edge for longer than lower-grade stainless steel.
Metal blade guide
The blade guide is made of metal — unlike plastic designs — and minimises lateral blade play when the blade is extended. This translates into a stable cutting line and reduces the risk of breaking a segment during use.
8 blade segments
The blade is divided into 8 snap-off segments. Once the working edge becomes blunt, the end segment is snapped off along the score to reveal a new, sharp edge. This allows the blade to be renewed repeatedly without replacing the whole knife.
Blade locking slider
The locking mechanism, in the form of a slider, secures the blade in the chosen extended position. It prevents the blade from retracting or extending unintentionally while cutting, which matters when working with materials that require greater pressure.

Do not snap off a segment by hand or with pliers without the proper tool, as this risks an uncontrolled shard of steel flying off. Once all 8 segments have been used, the entire blade must be replaced with a new one.
