A complete set of HSS high-speed steel twist drill bits with a TiN titanium coating, covering 19 diameters from 1 to 10 mm in 0.5 mm increments. Designed for drilling into ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
The base material delivers a hardness of 62-65 HRC, making it possible to drill carbon steels with a tensile strength of up to 900 N/mm². HSS retains its cutting properties at the temperatures of up to 600°C generated during drilling.
The gold-coloured TiN coating, with a hardness of approx. 2300 HV, increases drill bit life by 200-300% compared with uncoated HSS. It reduces friction, lowers the drilling temperature and reduces chip adhesion to the working surface.
The set includes every intermediate diameter from 1-10 mm, so there is no need to buy individual drill bits. This allows the hole diameter to be precisely matched to a thread or pin joint diameter.
The robust case protects the drill bits from mechanical damage during transport and storage. Indexed slots make it easy to select the right diameter quickly and to check that the set is complete.

For structural steel: cutting speed 20-30 m/min, feed 0.05-0.15 mm/rev depending on the diameter. For aluminium: 60-100 m/min. Smaller diameters require higher speeds – for example, a 2 mm bit in steel: approx. 3000-4500 rpm, a 10 mm bit: approx. 600-900 rpm.
For steels, use a cooling and lubricating emulsion or machine oil. Aluminium can be drilled dry or with paraffin. Stainless steel requires intensive cooling with emulsion. Regular lubrication extends the life of the TiN coating.
HSS TiN drill bits can be sharpened on a drill bit sharpener while maintaining a 118° point angle and symmetrical cutting edges. After sharpening, the TiN coating is partially removed from the cutting edge, but the core of the bit retains the properties of HSS. Do not overheat the bit during sharpening – temperatures above 300°C may alter the steel structure.
