Gas blow torch with electronic piezo ignition, powered by 190g propane-butane cartridges. Fitted with flame adjustment and a metal body.
The PIEZO system does away with the need for matches or a lighter. Ignition is triggered by pressing a button that generates an electric spark without the need for batteries. The mechanism is reliable and works in a range of weather conditions.
A heat output of 1.7 kW is sufficient for soft soldering copper pipes, galvanised sheet metal and typical plumbing work. The flame temperature is high enough to melt soft solders with a melting point of up to 450°C.
The control valve allows stepless adjustment of the flame intensity. This lets you match the temperature and gas consumption to the task at hand – from precision work on small components to heating larger surfaces.
The metal casing provides mechanical resistance and stability during use. The metal construction increases the tool's durability under intensive use in workshop conditions.
| Model | GEKO G20071 |
| Burner power | 1.7 kW |
| Fuel type | Propane-butane |
| Cartridge capacity | 190 g |
| Gas consumption | 123 g/h (at full power) |
| Ignition type | Piezo |
| Body material | Metal |
| Flame adjustment | Stepless |
At a consumption of 123 g/h with a 190g cartridge, the operating time at full power is approximately 1.5 hours. At reduced power (flame adjustment), the operating time increases in proportion to the reduction in flame intensity.
The 190g cartridge should be screwed onto the threaded connection in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Before first use, check the connection for leaks by coating it with soapy water – bubbles indicate a leak.
After use, close the valve and wait for the burner to cool down. The cartridge may be left attached – the valve shuts off the gas supply. During longer breaks in use, unscrew the cartridge and store it in a cool place away from heat sources.
The burner nozzle requires periodic cleaning to remove carbon deposits. A blocked nozzle causes an irregular flame and increased gas consumption. Cleaning can be carried out with a brass wire or a dedicated gas torch brush.
The blow torch works with 190g gas cartridges with a standard thread (piercing valve system). Before buying a cartridge, check that its thread matches the torch – the most widely available cartridges use a 7/16" UNEF thread.
