2-Way Tap Connector 3/4"-1" YATO YT-89100
A tap splitter that lets two garden hoses or watering devices be connected to a single tap at the same time. The ABS and POM construction provides weather resistance while maintaining the functionality of two independent water lines.
Tap Connector Features
Dual Inlet Thread 3/4" and 1"
The universal connector fits standard garden taps with a 3/4 inch (19 mm) or 1 inch (25 mm) thread. It removes the need for additional adaptors where water valves of different diameters are used in the home or garden.
Two Independent Outlets with Separate Control
Each of the two outlets can be controlled separately, allowing the water flow to be switched on selectively. This is useful when an irrigation system and a hose for washing are connected at the same time and flow in both lines is not always required.
ABS and POM Construction
ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) provides rigidity and impact resistance, while POM (polyoxymethylene) is characterised by low moisture absorption and UV resistance. Combining these plastics extends the connector's service life in outdoor conditions.
Tool-Free Fitting
The tap connector is fitted by hand by screwing it onto the tap thread. Rubber washers seal the connection without the need for spanners or sealing tape. Removal is just as simple, which makes seasonal storage easier.

Checking Compatibility
Before fitting, check the type of tap thread. Standard garden taps have a male 3/4" or 1" thread. If the tap has a female thread, a transition adaptor will be required. The thread diameter can be checked by measuring the outside diameter: 3/4" is approximately 26-27 mm, and 1" is approximately 33 mm.
Use and Maintenance
The YATO YT-89100 tap connector requires minimal maintenance. At the end of the season it is worth draining it of water and storing it in a room protected from freezing, although the ABS and POM materials are frost-resistant. The washers should be checked periodically for flexibility – hardened washers can be replaced with standard ones of the correct diameter.
When fitting, do not overtighten the threaded connection, as this can damage the washers. Tightening by hand until resistance is felt is sufficient. If leaks occur, check the condition of the washer and that the connector is correctly seated on the thread.
ABS and POM are resistant to the chemicals typically used in gardening, but prolonged contact with mineral fertilisers may cause discolouration. After use, it is worth rinsing the connector with clean water.
