The Vorel 03225 cutting wheel is the working part of a ceramic tile cutter, responsible for scoring and snapping the material. Its 22 mm diameter is the standard size in manual tile cutters for glazed and porcelain tiles.
A standard size used in most manual tile cutters. The diameter determines the depth of the score and affects how effectively the tile snaps. A 22 mm wheel applies the right pressure to tiles between 4 mm and 12 mm thick.
A complete mounting kit is included, so the wheel can be fitted to the cutter straight away. A 6 mm spindle is standard on most manual tile cutter models. The nut holds the wheel firmly and allows the pressure to be adjusted.
The width determines the thickness of the cut line. A 6 mm wide wheel produces a score deep enough for controlled snapping of ceramic and porcelain tiles. Narrower wheels wear out faster, while wider ones need more pressure.
The wheel fits manual tile cutters with a 6 mm spindle, which covers most models on the market. Before buying, check the spindle diameter on your cutter and make sure the pressure mechanism accepts 22 mm wheels.

Before fitting, clean any remains of the old wheel off the spindle. Slide the wheel onto the spindle and tighten the nut to the correct torque — if it is too loose the wheel will wobble, and if it is too tight the wheel will not turn freely. Once fitted, check that the wheel rotates freely.
The wheel needs replacing when: the tile no longer snaps along the score line, the wheel leaves an uneven score, it needs noticeably more pressure than before, or there are visible chips on the cutting edge. Replacing the wheel regularly keeps cuts clean and reduces the risk of damaging tiles.
Before buying, remove the old wheel and measure the spindle diameter with a vernier calliper, or check the cutter's manual. A 6 mm diameter is the standard, but some models use an 8 mm spindle. Also check that the cutter head has enough clearance for a 22 mm wheel.
