225 mm P220 Sanding Disc for Drywall Sander GEKO G78695
Sanding disc made from white aluminium oxide bonded with synthetic resin, designed for telescopic drywall sanders. The 225 mm diameter and hook-and-loop backing ensure a secure fit on the backing pad.
Technical features
P220 Grit – Application
P220 grit (grain diameter approx. 68 μm) is intended for finish sanding. It removes minor imperfections and marks left by coarser abrasives, and prepares the surface for painting or wallpapering.
Resin-bonded white aluminium oxide
An aluminium oxide abrasive with high hardness and resistance to brittle fracturing. The synthetic resin bond gives the backing flexibility and keeps the grains firmly anchored when working with building materials.
Hook-and-loop attachment
The hook-and-loop system allows quick, tool-free disc changes. It holds the disc securely when working at an angle or overhead, as is typical with telescopic sanders.
225 mm diameter
A standard size for drywall sanders. Before buying, check the backing pad diameter on your sander – the disc must match the size of the sanding pad exactly.

Sander compatibility
This product fits telescopic sanders (drywall sanders) with a 225 mm backing pad fitted with a hook-and-loop face. Check the pad diameter in your tool's manual or measure it directly – even a 5 mm difference will prevent the disc from attaching properly.
Use and maintenance
Fitting the disc
Disconnect the sander from the power supply before fitting the disc. Place the disc on the backing pad and press it down evenly across the whole surface – the hook-and-loop should engage with an audible click. Check that it is secure by pulling gently on the edge of the disc.
Sanding technique
Move the sander in parallel or crosswise strokes without applying excessive pressure. P220 grit requires light pressure – pressing too hard wears the grains faster and overheats the material. When working overhead, use a dust extraction system.
Changing the disc
Replace the disc when you notice a drop in sanding performance, glazing of the abrasive surface or irregular marks on the material. A worn disc leaves streaks and needs more pressure. Peel the disc off the backing pad from the edge, avoiding any jerking.
Dust extraction during use
Drywall sanders generate a large amount of dust. Connect the tool to an industrial vacuum cleaner or use the built-in dust extraction system. Perforated discs provide better dust extraction, but this model has no holes – dust will collect under the disc.
