The KD3165 is a one-handed angle grinder with a 230 mm disc and a 2950 W motor, designed for cutting, grinding and polishing hard building and structural materials. The electronic soft start system reduces start-up overload and limits mechanical wear on the gearbox.

A 230 mm disc is the largest standard size in the one-handed grinder class. The high motor output maintains a constant working speed under heavy load, allows deeper cuts and makes it possible to work on thicker sections without repeated passes.
Electronic soft start
Soft start limits the current surge when the motor starts, which reduces the risk of the tool snatching on start-up. The grinder can be run on circuits protected by a 16A fuse without tripping it.
Handle ergonomics and working positions
The main handle is covered with a non-slip material for a secure grip, even when wearing work gloves. The auxiliary handle can be fitted on the left, right or top of the body — three positions that let you adapt the tool to the type of cutting or grinding being carried out.
Safety features and disc guard
The spindle lock makes changing accessories easy without additional tools. The switch lock prevents accidental start-up while the tool is being carried. The rotating disc guard directs sparks and material debris away from the operator and can be set to suit the direction of work.

Choosing the right accessories
What to look for when choosing a disc
Only accessories rated for a speed of at least 6500 rpm and designed for an M14 spindle should be used with the KD3165. This information is always stated on the disc label or packaging. Using accessories with a lower permitted rpm or a different thread can damage the tool or create a safety hazard.
Use and maintenance
Before first use, read the instruction manual — in particular the procedure for fitting and removing the disc and the rules for adjusting the guard. Accessories are changed using the spindle lock. Holding the lock button down while the spindle is turning can damage the mechanism.
After use, blow out the motor ventilation slots with compressed air to remove accumulated dust. This is particularly important when working with concrete and stone, where fine dust quickly clogs the cooling channels. Regular cleaning has a direct effect on the service life of the motor windings.
