230V Fuel & Oil Transfer Pump GEKO G00937
Electric transfer pump designed for pumping diesel, heating oil and other liquids that do not contain petrol. Powered from a 230V mains supply, it features a 3/4" BSP thread and a full set of fitting accessories.
Technical features
Flow rate up to 50 L/min
A flow rate of 50 litres per minute allows a 200-litre drum of diesel to be pumped in around 4 minutes. This figure is the maximum flow rate at zero head – the actual flow rate decreases as the delivery head increases.
Maximum pumping head of 10 m
The pump overcomes a height difference of up to 10 metres vertically. This means it can pump from an underground tank or to a tank located on an upper floor. At maximum head the flow rate drops – the greater the height, the lower the flow rate.
3/4" BSP thread (26 mm)
British Standard Pipe is the pipe thread standard used in plumbing installations. A diameter of 3/4 inch (approximately 26 mm) is a typical size for transfer pumps, compatible with standard hoses and fittings available from plumbing suppliers.
Sealed switch
The sealed switch housing prevents vapours and liquids from entering the electrical mechanism. The design reduces the risk of sparking and increases safety when pumping flammable substances.

Important limitation
The pump is not designed for pumping petrol. Petrol is a volatile liquid with a low flash point – its vapours ignite easily. Pumping petrol requires pumps with ATEX certification and additional explosion protection.

Use and maintenance
Installation and start-up
Before first use, fit the filter to the pump inlet – it protects the mechanism from contaminants that could damage the impeller. Seal threaded connections with PTFE tape, winding it in the direction of the thread (2-3 layers). Secure the hoses with hose clips, tightening the screw until the hose no longer moves under pressure.
The suction hose should be submerged below the liquid level in the source tank. Route the delivery hose to the destination, avoiding sharp bends that restrict flow. The pump requires a 230V mains socket protected against moisture.
Operating the pump
Once switched on, the pump starts pumping automatically. Monitor the process, particularly the level in the destination tank, to avoid overfilling. When pumping to a height above 5 metres the flow rate drops, so the process takes longer.
Do not leave the pump unattended during operation. If the flow rate drops or unusual noises occur, switch off the unit and check whether the filter is blocked and whether the hoses are kinked.
Maintenance
After use, it is worth pumping a small amount of clean oil through to flush the system. Clean or replace the filter regularly – the frequency depends on the cleanliness of the liquid being pumped. A contaminated filter restricts flow and reduces performance.
Store the pump in a dry place, protected from frost. Residual oil in the system can thicken at low temperatures – before seasonal storage, flush the pump with hydraulic oil or a similar low-viscosity liquid.
