Use and maintenance
Preparation before use
Before first use, the brush can be lightly dampened with water (for water-based paints) or thinners (for solvent-based paints). Remove any loose filaments by gently combing them out.
Cleaning
After use, rinse the brush thoroughly with the appropriate cleaner: soapy water for water-based paints, thinners for oil-based paints. Remove paint from the ferrule and the base of the filaments. Dry flat or hang with the bristles pointing down.
Storage
Store in a dry place, protecting the bristles from distortion. Once dry, the filaments can be wrapped in paper to hold their shape. Avoid contact with solvents during storage.
