Features of the 3/4" Garden Hose Quick Connector
Standard 3/4" thread
The 3/4" (19 mm) size is the most popular standard in garden irrigation systems. It is compatible with most larger-diameter garden hoses and with the accessories available on the market – spray guns, sprinklers, telescopic spray lances and automatic irrigation systems.
Engineering plastic construction
The body is made from ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene), which is resistant to impact and cracking. Sealing components made from PP (polypropylene) ensure dimensional stability, while the TPR (thermoplastic elastomer) coating improves grip when handling the connector with wet hands.
Quick-connect system
The click-lock mechanism lets you connect or disconnect a hose in under 3 seconds. Simply push the connector onto the adaptor – a distinctive click confirms it is properly secured. To disconnect, press the release collar.
Weather resistance
The ABS and PP materials contain UV stabilisers that protect against degradation caused by sunlight. The design withstands temperatures from -10°C to +50°C, allowing all-season use in temperate climates.

Use and maintenance
Fitting and compatibility
Before first use, check that the internal diameter of the hose matches the 3/4" size. Push the hose firmly onto the hosetail of the connector, then secure it with a hose clip. When using threaded adaptors, fit rubber or PTFE washers to ensure a watertight connection.
Connector maintenance
At the end of the garden season, drain any water from the connector and store it in a place where the temperature stays above 0°C. Before winter, check the condition of the washers – cracked or hardened parts should be replaced. Periodically greasing the sealing rings with silicone grease extends the life of the mechanism.
Troubleshooting
A leak at the connection point is usually caused by a damaged washer or by the connector not being pushed fully home. Difficulty disconnecting may be caused by limescale build-up – in that case, soak the connector in a vinegar solution. Cracks in the body mean the whole component must be replaced.
