An SDS Max hammer drill bit designed for heavy-duty drilling in structural concrete and reinforced concrete. The four-cutter head makes it possible to drill through material containing steel reinforcement, while the 1000 mm length allows deep through-holes to be drilled in load-bearing elements.
The SDS Max shank system is designed for heavy-duty rotary hammers with high impact energy (above 8 J). The grooved shank keeps the bit securely seated in the chuck and transfers energy effectively to the cutting tip without any risk of the bit working loose during use.
The arrangement of four cutting edges improves the centring of the bit as drilling begins and reduces vibration during operation. This configuration also increases the effectiveness of breaking through steel reinforcement — the bit does not bypass the rebar but cuts straight through it.
The spiral flute carries the crushed material from the bottom of the hole to the outside. When drilling to a depth of 1000 mm, efficient dust removal is essential for maintaining performance and preventing the bit from binding.
The bit is suited to work in concrete reinforced with steel. The material and geometry of the cutting edges allow drilling to continue once a rebar is encountered — which is essential when drilling through slabs and structural walls.

An SDS Max drill bit works only with hammers fitted with an SDS Max chuck — it is not compatible with SDS Plus chucks or standard drill chucks. Before purchasing, check the chuck type in the technical documentation of your rotary hammer. The SDS Max system is used on professional-grade machines with an impact energy of approx. 8 J and above.
