The KD1820 is a three-phase electric motor with a power output of 5.5 kW, designed to drive industrial and workshop equipment. It converts electrical energy into mechanical energy, operating at 380V and a speed of 2850 rpm. The motor's construction ensures durability under continuous use in demanding conditions.
A rated power of 5500 W makes it possible to drive equipment with a high torque demand — piston compressors, centrifugal pumps or circular saws for wood and metal. This power range is typical of semi-industrial and workshop applications.
The motor requires a 380V three-phase supply (TN-S or TN-C-S system), standard in production halls, workshops and industrial facilities. Before installation, confirm that a suitable electrical connection is available and select protective devices in line with the rated current of 10.7 A.
A speed close to 3000 rpm (the synchronous speed for 50 Hz with 2 pole pairs) means the motor runs as a two-pole unit. The high shaft speed means that, when directly coupled to the driven machine, no step-up gearing is needed — which simplifies the drive design.
A weight of 52.5 kg indicates a substantial housing and windings of adequate cross-sectional area. This translates into better heat dissipation during prolonged operation and greater resistance to the mechanical vibration generated by the driven equipment.

The KD1820 motor is suitable wherever a reliable electric drive in the 5–6 kW power range with a three-phase supply is required:
Before installation, check that the electrical system on site has a 380V three-phase supply of sufficient capacity. For a rated current of 10.7 A, a motor protection circuit breaker or fuses with a characteristic suited to the starting currents of induction motors is recommended (D-type or gG/gL fuse links). The choice of coupling or belt drive should take into account the shaft diameter of 38 mm, the output speed of 2850 rpm and the torque resulting from the rated power.
