6-Piece Stubby Flex-Head Ratchet Combination Spanner Set — YT-16977 YATO
A set of six stubby combination spanners fitted with a ratchet mechanism and a flex-head ring end. The shortened handle, combined with the swivel head and 90T ratchet, makes it possible to work on bolted joints in places where standard spanners will not fit or do not offer enough working angle. The spanners are made from chrome vanadium steel with an As-Drive profile and a satin finish.
Set features
90T ratchet mechanism
The 90 teeth in the ratchet mechanism give a minimum working angle of 4°. This means the spanner can be turned by just a few degrees and still transmit torque — without having to lift the tool off the bolt or nut head. This is particularly important where hand movement is severely restricted.
Flex-head ring end
The swivel joint between the handle and the ring end allows the spanner to be set at an angle to the bolt axis. This makes it possible to work where access to the fastener is at an angle, or where the surrounding structure prevents the spanner from being lined up with the axis of the fastener.
Stubby handle design
The spanner lengths in the set range from 98 to 138 mm depending on size. The shorter handle reduces the clearance required above the fastener and makes it easier to insert the spanner into tight assembly spaces — such as engine bays, electrical enclosures or hydraulic systems.
As-Drive profile and CrV steel
The As-Drive working profile transfers torque to the flats of the bolt head rather than its corners, which reduces the risk of the spanner slipping and damaging the fastener. Chrome vanadium steel with a hardness of 42–49 HRC provides resistance to deformation under load while also resisting brittle cracking.
