Six-point socket with a 3/4-inch drive and a 24 mm opening, made of chrome vanadium steel. Designed for use with torque wrenches, ratchets and breaker bars with a 3/4-inch drive in professional and industrial applications.
The 3/4" (19.05 mm) drive is a standard used in tools for high-torque tasks. Compatible with professional torque wrenches and pneumatic and electric ratchets. Used mainly in vehicle workshops for servicing lorries and in mechanical engineering.
A 24 mm socket matches M16 bolts and nuts, commonly found in vehicle suspension systems, lorry wheel fitting and steel structures. The 6-point profile distributes force across six points of contact, minimising the risk of damage to fastener edges.
The material is chrome vanadium steel of increased hardness, hardened and tempered to achieve optimum strength. A chrome coating several micrometres thick protects against corrosion in the workshop environment and makes it easier to clean off oil contamination.
The internal hex profile provides full contact with the bolt or nut surface. Compared with 12-point profiles, it offers a larger contact area, which means safer operation on seized or corroded fasteners.

The socket works with all tools with a 3/4-inch drive: hand ratchets, torque wrenches (check the torque range), breaker bars, impact drivers and pneumatic impact wrenches. Before use, make sure that the tool's torque does not exceed the strength of the socket.
Before starting work, check the condition of the drive and the 6-point profile for signs of wear or deformation. Push the socket onto the tool's drive until the ball detent clicks audibly.
After finishing work, clean the socket of oil contamination and dust using a brush or compressed air. If it comes into contact with moisture or corrosive substances, dry the surface and protect it with a thin layer of maintenance oil.
Storing it in a socket set or on a magnetic rail prevents mechanical damage and helps keep the workstation tidy. Do not use the socket as a hammer or a lever - this can lead to cracking of the material.
The 24 mm size matches bolts and nuts with a 24 mm spanner size, typically used with M16 metric threads. Before buying, it is worth checking the spanner size with a vernier calliper or a gauge, particularly for non-standard components or those imported from outside Europe.
