The KD4035 is a mains extension lead with 8 power sockets and a USB port, designed for home and office use. It lets you power several electrical devices at once and charge mobile devices from a single point. The flame-retardant housing and internal copper wiring ensure safe, stable operation.
Copper has low electrical resistance, which translates into stable voltage and minimal energy loss during transmission. Compared with aluminium or alloy wiring, internal copper conductors better withstand prolonged loads and do not overheat unduly during continuous operation.
The automatic protection cuts the power supply if the permissible current load is exceeded. It protects connected devices from damage and reduces the risk of the wiring overheating. Once the cause of the overload has been removed, the extension lead can be switched back on without having to replace a fuse.
The body is made from a plastic with enhanced fire resistance which does not sustain combustion on contact with a flame or overheating. This is an important feature in environments where the extension lead runs for many hours or is placed near flammable materials.
The sockets are fitted with mechanical shutters that block access to the contacts when pressure is applied on one side only. Opening a socket requires simultaneous pressure on both shutters, which prevents a child from accidentally inserting an object.
| Model | KD4035 |
| Number of power sockets | 8 |
| USB port | 1 x USB |
| Cable length | 1.5 m |
| Internal wiring | Copper |
| Overload protection | Overload switch |
| Socket protection | Protective shutters (child safety) |
| Housing material | Flame-retardant plastic |
Add up the power (W) of all the devices that are to be connected at the same time. The total should not exceed the permissible load of the extension lead given on the label or in the documentation. Heating appliances (heaters, kettles, irons) typically draw 1500–2000 W and are not recommended for connection through multi-socket extension leads.
