Abrasive mesh with a double-sided silicon carbide coating for hand sanding of building surfaces. The P100 grit delivers effective smoothing of plaster, render and filler with minimal dust.
The P100 grade (approximately 125 microns) corresponds to medium sanding, used for removing unevenness after the first sanding pass or for smoothing a surface directly before finishing. It leaves a matt surface that requires further sanding with a finer grit before painting.
Abrasive grains applied to both sides of the mesh extend the product's service life – once one side is worn, the other can be used. Silicon carbide is characterised by its hardness and sharpness, which ensures effective sanding of hard mineral materials.
The open mesh structure allows dust to pass freely through the holes during sanding. This limits clogging of the abrasive surface, extends working time and improves visibility of the surface being worked. This is particularly important when sanding plaster, which generates large amounts of dust.
The mesh dimensions correspond to the standard hand sanders used for manual work. The mesh is secured in the sander's clamps, which ensures stability during sanding and even pressure against the surface. The format allows larger flat areas to be worked without frequently changing the abrasive.

The P100 grit is an intermediate stage in the sanding process. After working with P100 mesh, it is advisable to move to finer grains (P120-P180) to achieve a smooth surface ready for painting. For removing coarser unevenness, P60-P80 grits are used.
The mesh is fitted to a hand sander by securing it in the clamps or clips. During work, pressure should be applied evenly across the whole surface of the sander, using circular or crosswise movements. This allows the grains to wear evenly and prevents scratches from forming.
During sanding, the mesh clogs with plaster dust. Regularly tapping or blowing out the mesh restores its abrasive properties and extends its service life. Once one side is worn, the mesh can be turned over and work continued with the other side.
Abrasive mesh should be stored in dry rooms, away from moisture. Contact with water can weaken the backing structure and reduce sanding effectiveness. The use of respiratory protection is recommended during work due to the mineral dust generated.
