Swedish pattern adjustable spanner made from chrome-plated 40CrV chrome vanadium steel, manufactured to DIN 3117. A tool designed for professional use in mechanical workshops, industry and the trades.
Technical features
40CrV chrome vanadium steel
An alloy tool steel with increased hardness and wear resistance. The chromium content provides corrosion resistance, while vanadium increases mechanical strength and resistance to material fatigue during heavy use.
Head angled at 15°
The head angle relative to the handle axis improves access to fasteners in areas with limited working space. The Swedish pattern design allows ergonomic working in a range of positions.
Maximum jaw opening 31 mm

DIN 3117 standard
The German standard specifying requirements for Swedish pattern adjustable spanners. It defines dimensional tolerances, mechanical strength, hardness of the working surfaces and test methods. Products complying with DIN 3117 meet the standards of a professional tool.
Use and maintenance
Before starting work, check the condition of the adjustment mechanism and make sure there is no play in the moving joints. The jaws should sit flush against the fastener across the full width of the working surface. A fit that is too loose can damage the edges of the nut or bolt.
The adjustable spanner is not intended for use as a lever or hammer. Do not extend the handle with a pipe to increase torque, as this can permanently deform the mechanism or crack the material.
After use, clean the tool of dirt, oil and moisture. The adjustment mechanism can be lubricated periodically with technical grease to keep the adjustment smooth. Storing the tool in a dry place extends the life of the chrome coating.
