The SMDL01A electric convector heater is a heating appliance designed for supplementary heating of residential and utility rooms. Its convector design ensures a rapid flow of warm air, while the steel casing in a black finish allows for wall mounting or portable use.

Three heat output settings
The heater can be switched between three power settings: 750 W for small rooms (up to 10 m²), 1250 W for medium-sized spaces (up to 15 m²) and 2000 W for larger rooms (up to 25 m²). Selecting the appropriate setting makes it possible to match energy consumption to actual requirements and to reduce running costs.
Manual thermostat with stepless control
The mechanical thermostat with a rotary dial provides stepless temperature control, typically between 5°C and 30°C. Once the set temperature is reached, the thermostat switches the heating element on and off cyclically, which prevents the room from overheating and reduces electricity consumption by around 20-30% compared with continuous operation.
Convector design
Operation is based on natural air convection – cold air enters at the bottom, is warmed by the heating element and exits at the top. The absence of a fan means silent operation (below 30 dB), making the appliance suitable for bedrooms and offices. A 15 m² room takes around 15-20 minutes to heat up.
Thermal protection
A built-in thermal cut-out automatically disconnects the power supply when the temperature of the casing or internal components reaches around 80-90°C. This function protects against fire if the heater is covered, the airflow is obstructed or the thermostat fails. Once the appliance has cooled down, it can be restarted.

Use and maintenance
Wall mounting
The heater can be mounted on a wall, which saves floor space. Installation requires suitable brackets (check whether these are included in the set) and a minimum clearance of 10 cm from the wall and 50 cm from furniture and curtains. The appliance should be mounted at a height of at least 15 cm from the floor.
Operation
Before first use, run the heater at maximum power in a ventilated room for around 30 minutes – a slight odour may occur as the factory-applied protective coatings burn off. Do not cover the heater or place objects on it. A minimum clearance of 1 metre from flammable materials is recommended.
Cleaning
Clean the casing with a dry or slightly damp cloth after disconnecting the appliance from the mains and allowing it to cool. Vacuum the ventilation openings periodically to ensure correct airflow. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
