Twist drill bit made from HSS 4341 high-speed steel with a titanium nitride coating, designed for drilling into metals and difficult-to-machine materials. Complies with DIN 338, with a 135° ground point for accurate centring.
A high-speed steel alloy with added cobalt for increased hardness and resistance to the high temperatures generated during drilling. It retains its cutting properties even under intensive use.
A black and gold ceramic layer with a hardness of up to 2400 HV that reduces friction between the drill bit and the workpiece, cuts heat build-up and extends tool life by 200-300% compared with uncoated drill bits.
The precisely ground point angle provides self-centring without the need to pre-punch the drilling point. It reduces thrust forces and stops the drill bit slipping on smooth surfaces.

Defines the geometric parameters of twist drill bits with a straight shank. It guarantees dimensional compatibility with drill chucks and consistency of manufacturing quality. Drill bits that meet this standard have a standardised working length and overall length that depend on the diameter.
Before starting to drill, make sure the drill bit is correctly secured in the drill chuck – a loose fit leads to runout and damage to the tool. During work, the use of a cutting fluid or lubricant is recommended, particularly when drilling stainless steels and difficult-to-machine materials – this extends the life of the TiN coating.
The rotational speed should be matched to the material being machined. For structural steels at a diameter of 4.10 mm, a speed of 1500-2500 rpm is recommended, for aluminium 3000-4000 rpm, while for stainless steels the speed should be reduced to 800-1200 rpm. Excessive speed leads to overheating and damage to the coating.
After finishing work, clean the drill bit of swarf and contamination, then protect it from moisture. Storing it in the original plastic case protects the cutting edges from mechanical damage. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents that could damage the TiN coating.
