Bluetooth Electronic Ear Defenders YT-74626 YATO
These ear defenders combine hearing protection (SNR 29 dB) with a Bluetooth module, microphone and AUX port. They let you listen to music and make phone calls without having to remove your hearing protection in a noisy working environment.
Product features
Bluetooth module with call handling
The ear defenders pair with smartphones, tablets and other Bluetooth devices. Four function buttons on one of the ear cups let you adjust the volume, answer and end calls and change tracks — without having to reach for your phone.
AUX port as a wired alternative
The supplied 3.5 mm jack cable (110 cm) allows connection to devices that do not have Bluetooth. In wired mode, the volume is adjusted with a dial on the housing. The AUX port supports both stereo music playback and audio during phone calls.
750 mAh Li-Po battery
The lithium-polymer cell provides up to 8 hours of talk time and charges within 3.5 hours via the micro USB port. Li-Po technology retains its performance at low temperatures and is more mechanically robust than conventional Li-Ion cells — an important feature in workshop conditions.
Design for greater comfort during prolonged wear
The wide sealing cushions cover the entire ear, spreading the pressure over a larger area. The adjustable 35 mm headband with a flexible support minimises the pressure felt on the top of the head — which matters when wearing the ear defenders for several hours.

How to choose ear defenders for your workplace
Ear defenders reduce the level of noise reaching the ears by the value of the SNR rating. Under health and safety regulations, the upper limit of exposure to noise for an 8-hour working day is 85 dB. If the measured noise level in the workplace exceeds this value, ear defenders should be selected with an SNR that reduces the noise level to 85 dB or below.

When ear defenders with an SNR of 29 dB are worn continuously in an environment with a noise level of 113 dB, the noise level reaching the ears is reduced to around 84 dB — below the permissible limit for an 8-hour working shift. Ear defenders with an SNR of 29 dB are suitable for environments with noise not exceeding around 114 dB during continuous work.
When worn for longer periods (more than a dozen minutes or so), not only the attenuation performance but also the comfort of the design matters. The sealing cushions should cover the entire ear, and the soft padding on the headband reduces pressure on the top of the head. The force with which the ear cups press against the head affects both comfort and attenuation performance — ear defenders that are too loose reduce acoustic insulation.
