Hinged bolt closure

How to choose the correct hose clip size
Measure the outside diameter of the hose at the point of installation. Choose a clip whose range covers the measured value. An allowance of 1-2 mm within the adjustment range compensates for manufacturing tolerances in the hose and ensures a tight joint once tightened.
Installation and use
Before fitting, check that the hose surface is clean and dry. Slide the clip onto the hose before pushing the hose onto the spigots. Once the hose is in place, position the clip 5-10 mm from the end of the hose, taking care not to cover the groove on the spigot, if present.
Tighten the bolt gradually with a hex key, checking for even clamping around the circumference. Do not exceed the tightening torque recommended by the hose manufacturer. Once the system is running, check the joint for leaks and re-tighten the clip if necessary.
In systems subject to vibration or temperature changes, check the condition of the clip every 3-6 months. Replace the clip if you notice band deformation, cracking of the zinc coating or corrosion of the bolt.
Application limitations
GBS W1 clips are intended for non-corrosive environments. In installations exposed to chemicals, seawater or high humidity, use stainless steel clips or clips with additional anti-corrosion protection.
