Two-handed loppers with an SK5 high-carbon steel blade, designed for cutting branches up to 35 mm in diameter. The 705 mm working length provides adequate leverage when pruning tree limbs and ornamental shrubs.
SK5 high-carbon steel contains 0.8-0.9% carbon, which gives a hardness of 58-62 HRC. The material resists chipping when cutting hard wood and retains its sharpness over a longer service life. SK5 steel is used in tools that require a durable cutting edge.
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) applied to the upper blade reduces the coefficient of friction between the blade and the wood. The coating prevents resin and plant sap from sticking to the blade, which makes cutting easier and reduces the force required during work.
A shock-absorbing pad built into the mechanism absorbs the impact generated at the moment the blades close. This protects the operator's wrists from strain during repeated cutting of thicker branches.
The ergonomic shape of the handles, matched to the anatomy of the hand, distributes pressure evenly when gripping. The design minimises slipping and allows you to work for longer periods without excessive fatigue in the forearm muscles.

Check the condition of the cutting edge before starting work. A blunt blade requires greater cutting force and crushes plant tissue instead of cutting cleanly. The blade can be sharpened with a diamond file or a whetstone, maintaining the original bevel angle.
Once you have finished working, remove any remaining plant sap and resin from the blade with a cloth moistened with methylated spirits or a dedicated garden tool cleaner. Regular cleaning extends the life of the PTFE coating.
Store the loppers in a dry place, ideally hanging from the hanging holes in the handles. Before a longer period of storage, protect the blade with a thin film of oil to guard against corrosion.
