How to use
Before using an extractor, it is advisable to drill a pilot hole in the broken screw with a bit smaller than the extractor — this helps seat the tool accurately and reduces the risk of it snapping. Tap or screw the extractor into the hole, then turn it anticlockwise with a spanner. Axial pressure while turning makes the tool bite into the screw material and loosen it. For badly seized screws, it is worth applying penetrating oil beforehand and leaving it to work for ten to fifteen minutes.
