Brushcutter Chain Head KD1648
The KD1648 chain head from Kraft&Dele is a cutting attachment designed for petrol brushcutters and strimmers. Made from manganese steel, it allows you to work in hard-to-reach areas and dense undergrowth where standard nylon line or plastic blades lose their effectiveness.

Manganese steel offers far greater resistance to wear and impact than standard carbon steel. In practice, this means a longer service life for the head when it is used intensively in undergrowth, on stony ground or on thick stems.
Chain as the cutting element
The metal chain copes much better with thick shoots, shrubs and tough vegetation than nylon line. It does not need replacing as often as line — it retains its cutting performance over a longer period of use.
Broad compatibility
The M10 x 1.25 left-hand threaded bolt fitting is the standard used on most petrol brushcutters and strimmers on the market. Before fitting, check the thread on the machine's spindle — a left-hand thread is marked with the abbreviation LH or a directional arrow.
Working dimensions
The overall length of 33 cm and the length of one side of 12 cm define the cutting reach of the head. The 8 cm diameter is the body size — important when checking whether the head will fit under the guard of a particular brushcutter model.

Fitting and use
The head is fitted to the brushcutter spindle in place of the standard line head or blade. A left-hand thread means that the nut or head is tightened anticlockwise. This thread direction prevents the head from working loose during use, when the spindle rotates clockwise.
Before first use, make sure the head is correctly and securely tightened and that the brushcutter guard is fitted. The metal chain needs to be checked regularly for worn links — visible deformation or cracks are a sign that the head should be replaced.
