A manual cable lug crimping tool with a hexagonal (HEX) crimp, designed for conductors with a cross-section of 6–50 mm². The tool is made from hardened SCM-40 steel and features a lever mechanism that generates a crimping force of up to 8 tonnes.
The body and jaws are made from hardened SCM-40 chrome-molybdenum steel. This material is characterised by high hardness and resistance to deformation during repeated working cycles under load.
The compound lever system delivers a crimping force of up to 8 tonnes with relatively little effort from the user. This translates into a secure, durable joint between the lug and the cable conductor, with no risk of under-crimping or damage to the insulation.
The hexagonal crimp profile distributes pressure evenly around the circumference of the lug, which minimises the risk of deformation and guarantees low electrical resistance at the joint.
Handles with a non-slip rubber coating improve grip security, particularly when working in workshop conditions — in the presence of grease, oil or moisture.

The KD10257 crimping tool is supplied with 6 dies matching standard cable lug sizes: 6, 10, 16, 25, 35 and 50 mm². Before use, make sure that the size of the lug being used matches the cross-section of the cable conductor — selecting a die that is one size too large or too small results in an incorrect crimp and can lead to increased joint resistance or mechanical weakening.
