The carburettor is a key component of a generator's fuel system, responsible for preparing the air-fuel mixture. Model CT05011-37 is a genuine spare part designed specifically for GEKO T05011 generators.
The carburettor has been designed specifically for the GEKO T05011 generator. Retaining the original part number ensures full dimensional and functional compatibility with the fuel system and mountings on the power unit.
The component meters the fuel and mixes it with air in proportions that allow proper combustion. A correctly working carburettor ensures stable engine speed and efficient fuel use.
Carburettors are subject to natural wear in use. Replacement is recommended when symptoms appear such as unstable engine running, difficulty starting, increased fuel consumption or erratic idle speed.
Replacing the carburettor requires disconnecting the fuel lines, the throttle cable and the choke cable. The process does not require specialist tooling — a basic set of spanners and screwdrivers is sufficient.

Carburettor replacement should be considered when the generator is difficult to start from cold, runs unevenly at idle, cuts out under load, shows increased fuel consumption or emits black smoke from the exhaust. These symptoms indicate an incorrect air-fuel mixture ratio.
Before starting the replacement, disconnect the spark plug lead and turn off the fuel tap. Then disconnect the fuel line from the carburettor, along with the throttle cable and the choke cable. Once the mounting bolts have been undone, the old carburettor can be removed. The new component is fitted in reverse order, taking care to position the gaskets correctly. After fitting, check the fuel connections for leaks before starting the engine.
Before purchase, confirm that your generator is the T05011 model. The model number is shown on the rating plate of the unit, usually located on the engine housing or the generator frame. Fitting a carburettor with the wrong part number may result in incorrect engine operation.
The service life of the carburettor depends on the quality of the fuel used and regular maintenance. It is advisable to use fresh unleaded petrol with the correct octane rating, to replace the air filter regularly and to clean the fuel sediment bowl periodically. During longer periods when the generator is not in use, it is recommended to drain the fuel system or use a fuel stabiliser, which prevents deposits from forming in the carburettor passages.
