A measuring tool for marking out and checking right angles in carpentry and building work. The construction, combining an aluminium stock with a steel blade featuring a double-sided metric scale, ensures durability and functionality in everyday use.
The aluminium stock provides rigidity at a low weight, while the steel blade resists deformation and wear to the scale. Combining these materials increases the tool's durability in workshop conditions.
The millimetre scale on both sides of the steel blade allows measuring from both the external and the internal edge of the square without having to turn the tool around.
The 300 mm external working length is used for measuring out and marking lines on materials, while the 260 mm internal length allows checking right angles in corners and recesses.
The precisely machined arm at 90° allows verification of the squareness of structural elements, checking corners and quality control of completed joints.
| Model | G29073 |

Place the square against a straight edge and mark a line along the arm. Then turn the tool through 180° and place it against the same edge again. If the lines coincide, the square is accurate. Any discrepancy indicates an error in squareness.
When working, avoid knocking the square against hard surfaces, as this can deform the arms and cause a loss of right-angle accuracy. The aluminium stock is corrosion-resistant, but it should be protected from scratches that could make it difficult to place precisely against the surface being measured.
The metric scale should be cleaned regularly to remove dust and swarf. The steel blade may need protection from moisture – after use, it is worth wiping the tool with a dry cloth. Store the square in a place protected from drops and from the pressure of other tools.
