Chimney brush with a diameter of 150 mm, designed for the mechanical cleaning of chimney flues to remove soot, tar deposits and other contaminants. The tool is fitted with an M12 thread and a mounting eye, allowing it to be used with a chimney sweep ball.

M12 male thread

Use and maintenance
Choosing the brush diameter
The brush diameter should be close to the diameter of the chimney flue. A 150 mm brush is suitable for chimneys with a cross-section of 140–160 mm. A brush that is too small will not remove soot from the walls, while one that is too large may jam in the flue or damage the liner.
Fitting and using the brush
The brush is screwed onto a steel rod or flexible rod using the M12 thread. During cleaning, use a back-and-forth motion to remove deposits gradually. The chimney sweep ball attached to the mounting eye makes the brush easier to guide through the flue and increases the effectiveness of mechanical soot removal.
Tool maintenance
After use, clean soot and deposits from the brush. Storing it in a dry place prevents corrosion of the steel wire. Before the next use, check the condition of the bristles and the thread – damaged parts may reduce cleaning effectiveness or become stuck in the chimney.
