Chrome Door Chain VOREL 77910
A mechanical security device for entrance doors that allows the door leaf to be opened a controlled amount. Fitted on the inside of the room, the chain lets you talk to the person outside without opening the door fully, which makes the occupants safer.
Technical features
Chrome-plated finish

Fitting and use
How to fit
The bolt is fixed to the door leaf and the plate with the guide to the door frame. Fitting involves drilling the screw holes — usually four fixing points. Before drilling, check that the parts will not clash with the lock or other door furniture.
Checking compatibility
The chain needs at least 90 mm of clear space at the edge of the door (85 mm bolt + fitting clearance). Make sure there are no doorbell or entryphone cables running through the fitting position. The thickness of the door leaf is irrelevant — the chain is surface-mounted.
Maintenance
Clean the mechanism periodically to remove dust and dirt. The moving parts — the chain links and the slide — can be lightly lubricated with machine oil or silicone grease. Avoid corrosive cleaners, which can damage the chrome layer.
