Circular Saw Blade 205x18x24 mm YT-6066 YATO

A circular saw blade for cutting solid wood, wood-based panels and plastics. Fitted with tungsten carbide teeth for a long tool life.

Blade diameter205 mm
Bore18 mm
Number of teeth24
Tooth materialTungsten carbide

Technical features

Blade dimensions 205x18x24 mm

The 205 mm outer diameter is a standard size for handheld saws and low-power table saws. The 18 mm bore ensures compatibility with most popular saw models. The 24 teeth give a general-purpose tooth pattern suitable for both rip and cross cutting.

Tungsten carbide teeth

Tungsten carbide tips (TCT) are considerably harder than tool steel. The material stays sharp even after repeated cutting of abrasive materials such as chipboard or laminated boards. The blade can be re-sharpened several times, which extends its service life.

Versatile use

The 24-tooth pattern is a compromise between cutting speed and the quality of the finished edge. The blade handles solid wood, plywood, MDF and HDF boards and plastics. The tooth geometry ensures efficient clearance of chips from the cut.

Saw compatibility

The 205x18 mm dimensions match the standards of 1200–1600 W handheld saws and smaller table saws. Before buying, check the blade diameter and bore in the saw's manual. Some models require reducing rings.

Checking saw compatibility

Before fitting the blade, verify three parameters: the outer diameter (205 mm), the bore diameter (18 mm) and the saw's maximum permissible speed. This information can be found in the tool's operating manual or on the rating plate. If the bore diameter does not match, reducing rings, available as accessories, can be used.

Use and maintenance

Before starting work, make sure the blade is correctly fitted and that the direction of rotation matches the arrow on the blade body. The saw's speed must not exceed the maximum value specified by the blade manufacturer.

When cutting laminated or veneered materials, the blade should be set so that the teeth exit through the face side of the material. This prevents chipping of the decorative layer. When cutting plastics, it is worth reducing the feed rate to avoid overheating the material.

The condition of the teeth should be checked regularly, and accumulated resin and dirt removed. The blade needs sharpening when the cut quality deteriorates or the resistance during work increases. Sharpening should be carried out by a specialist service to preserve the correct tooth angles and geometry.

Safety during use

Before each use, check the blade for cracks, chipped teeth or other mechanical damage. A damaged blade may shatter during use. Safety glasses, ear defenders and work gloves must be worn. The workpiece should be securely clamped, and the saw guided evenly without forcing the feed.
