Tungsten carbide tipped circular saw blade designed for precise cutting of wood, chipboard and joinery materials. The 500 mm diameter and 60 teeth strike a balance between cutting efficiency and cut quality in professional applications.
The large blade diameter allows material up to around 170 mm thick to be cut, depending on the design of the saw. Blades of this size are used in professional panel saws and table saws in joinery workshops.
A tooth count of 60T classifies this blade as a general-purpose option for precise cutting. It has more teeth than ripping blades (24-40T) but fewer than laminate blades (80-100T). Tungsten carbide gives the tips durability and allows repeated sharpening.
A standard bore size for industrial and semi-professional saws. Check the spindle diameter of the saw before purchase. Blades with a 32 mm bore can be adapted to smaller spindles using reducing rings.
A blade body made from steel with the right hardness and elasticity minimises vibration during use and reduces the risk of heat distortion under intensive use.

A 60T blade is a compromise between cutting speed and edge quality. Ripping solid wood is handled well by 24-40T blades, which clear chips faster. For laminates and veneers, 80-100T blades are better, as they minimise chipping. A 60T blade works well for varied work where decent cut quality is required without changing the tool frequently.
Check the condition of the blade before fitting — no cracks, distortion or damaged teeth. The blade must be fitted in the direction of rotation marked by the arrow. The spindle nut should be tightened firmly, but without excessive force that could distort the blade.
The rotational speed of the saw should be matched to the material being cut. For solid wood with a 500 mm blade, the recommended peripheral speed is 50-70 m/s. Too low a speed causes tear-out, while too high a speed burns the material and accelerates tip wear.
The blade needs regular cleaning to remove resin and deposits that build up on the teeth and in the expansion slots. Specialist cleaning agents or a solution of water and detergent can be used. Blunt tips should be sharpened by a specialist — sharpening them yourself without the right equipment can alter the tooth geometry.
The maximum permitted rotational speed of the blade is usually marked on the body. This figure must not be exceeded. Check the blade mounting and the condition of the saw guards before every use. Safety goggles and hearing protection are mandatory while working. Do not remove offcuts while the saw is running.
