Classic Snap Trap for Mice and Rats K02505
A mechanical snap trap designed to eliminate mice and rats in residential, agricultural and industrial premises. Its construction is based on a tried-and-tested spring mechanism that acts instantly the moment a rodent comes into contact with the device.
Technical features
Spring-loaded snap mechanism
The steel spring, tensioned to the appropriate pressure, releases as soon as minimum weight is applied to the trigger plate. The mechanism responds within a fraction of a second, giving the rodent no chance to escape. The system requires neither batteries nor an electrical supply.
Compact working dimensions
A length of 10 cm and a width of 5 cm allow the trap to be placed in narrow spaces – behind furniture, in gaps and beneath appliances. The height of 5.5 cm when set makes it suitable for locations with limited vertical clearance.

Use and maintenance
Setting up
Before first use, check that the snap mechanism moves freely. Set the trap on a flat, stable surface. Fix the bait to the trigger plate – strongly scented foods are recommended (peanut butter, cheese, cooked meat). Tension the mechanism by lifting the lever and securing it in the set position.
Siting the traps
Place traps along walls, in the corners of rooms and wherever there are signs of rodent activity (droppings, gnaw marks, a distinctive smell). The recommended spacing between devices is 2–3 metres for a heavy infestation and 5–8 metres for preventive control. The mechanism should run at right angles to the wall.
Cleaning and disinfection
After each use, clean the trap with water and detergent. Metal parts can be disinfected with alcohol-based products. All parts must be completely dry before the trap is used again. Store the trap in the unset position, with the spring released.
Safety precautions
Take particular care when tensioning the mechanism – the device reacts to the slightest pressure. Do not install traps in places accessible to children or pets. Wear protective gloves when removing caught rodents. The device is intended solely for its designated use.
