A complete heat shrink tubing kit in six colours and sizes from 2 mm to 12 mm. The 2:1 shrink ratio ensures a tight fit on insulated wires and joints.
This means the tubing halves in diameter when heated. For example, 4 mm tubing shrinks to 2 mm, giving a tight fit on a wire of 2-3.5 mm.
The different colours allow wires to be marked in line with electrical standards or your own coding system. This makes connections easier to identify during maintenance and when extending an installation.
The UV-resistant material does not degrade in sunlight. Its self-extinguishing properties ensure safety in electrical installations.

The tubing's diameter before shrinking should be 20-40% larger than the diameter of the insulated wire. For a 3 mm wire, choose 4-6 mm tubing. When heated, the tubing halves in diameter and grips the wire tightly.
Heat shrink tubing requires a temperature of around 80-120°C. You can use an industrial heat gun, a gas lighter or a dedicated heat gun for tubing. Heat evenly, rotating the tubing, to avoid overheating and deforming the material.
Before fitting the tubing over the wire, make sure the surface is clean and dry. Slide the tubing over the joint, leaving it evenly overhanging at both ends. Heat from the middle outwards until the tubing grips the wire tightly.
Store the kit in its original case, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Despite its UV resistance, prolonged storage at high temperatures may affect the flexibility of the material.
