Combination spanner in the imperial size 7/8", made from chrome vanadium steel with a polished head. A double-ended tool combining the functions of an open-ended spanner and a ring spanner in a single body.
The open end allows work in confined spaces, while the ring end provides better contact with the fastener around its full circumference. Two tools in one reduce the number of spanners needed in a set.
The steel alloy with added chromium and vanadium is characterised by increased hardness and wear resistance. The material retains its mechanical properties even under prolonged use and high loads.
Polishing of the working heads provides a smooth surface that is easier to clean and reduces the risk of corrosion. The finish increases the durability of the tool in workshop conditions.
The 7/8 inch dimension (22.225 mm) corresponds to the standards used in American mechanics and in equipment manufactured to imperial standards. It is well suited to work on vehicles and machinery from the US market.

The 7/8" size is not interchangeable with metric spanners. The closest metric equivalent is 22 mm, but the difference in dimension (22 mm = 0.866", 7/8" = 22.225 mm) may cause play or jamming. When working on fasteners, always use spanners from the correct measurement system.
Before starting work, check that the spanner size matches the fastener. A fit that is too loose may damage the edges of the bolt or nut. When tightening, apply force perpendicular to the axis of the spanner, avoiding excessive tilting.
The ring end provides better contact with the fastener and reduces the risk of the tool slipping. The open end allows work in places with limited access, but it requires greater care at higher torques.
After use, clean the spanner of dirt and protect it from moisture. The polished surface requires periodic checking for signs of corrosion. Storing the tool in a dry place extends its service life.
