The 9 mm combination spanner with a satin chrome finish is designed for workshop and mechanical work. The tool combines the functions of an open-end and a ring spanner in a single body, allowing work with 9 mm metric nuts and bolts.
The 15° offset of the ring head relative to the tool axis extends the working range in confined spaces. It allows a nut to be turned in places where a straight spanner does not have enough swing. The polished finish reduces friction and makes it easier to slide the spanner off the fastener.
The electroplated chrome layer protects the steel against corrosion in the workshop environment. The satin finish provides a matt surface that does not reflect light and makes the markings easier to read. Chrome plating increases surface hardness and wear resistance.
An overall length of 140 mm allows work in tightly packed mechanical assemblies, where longer tools have no room for a full turn. A width of 20.5 mm and a height of 14.6 mm give access to nuts in narrow gaps between structural components.
The thickness of the open end (S1) is 4.2 mm and that of the ring end (S2) is 5.0 mm. These parameters determine the minimum space needed to insert the spanner between a nut and adjacent components. The thinner open-end profile works well in particularly restricted assembly locations.

The 9 mm size refers to the across-flats dimension of the nut or bolt head. Before starting work, check that the spanner sits against all six edges of the nut without play. Play between the spanner and the nut rounds off the corners and prevents further work. For worn fasteners, an adjustable spanner or pliers are recommended.
The 15° offset of the ring head allows a nut to be turned in twelve positions at 30° intervals (by flipping the spanner over). In very confined spaces, small working strokes can be made by removing and refitting the spanner. The open end is used for final tightening or for loosening seized joints with greater force.
After work, remove contamination from the surface of the spanner with a dry cloth. If it comes into contact with corrosive substances, rinse the tool with water and dry it. The chrome finish requires no additional lubrication. Storing it in a dry place prevents rust from forming on any damage to the chrome layer.
