Hammer drill with a 650 W motor for drilling into concrete, steel and wood. Fitted with a self-centring 13 mm chuck, speed control up to 2,800 rpm and a hammer action with a rate of 44,800 bpm.
The 650 W output provides sufficient torque for drilling into building materials. Copper windings conduct electricity better than aluminium, which translates into higher motor efficiency and a longer service life under intensive use.
Electronic speed control lets you match the operating parameters to the type of material and the drill bit diameter. Lower speeds are used for drilling into metal and for starting holes, higher speeds for working in wood. Speed is controlled by how far the trigger is squeezed.
The hammer mechanism generates short axial impacts that increase drilling efficiency in concrete and masonry. A rate of 44,800 blows per minute equals around 746 blows per second, which speeds up penetration of hard mineral materials. The hammer action can be switched off when working in wood and metal.
The 13 mm keyed chuck automatically centres the drill bit on the axis of rotation, which eliminates run-out and improves drilling accuracy. Its 13 mm capacity accepts bits with a cylindrical shank from around 1.5 mm to 13 mm. Changing the bit requires the chuck key.

When drilling into concrete, use tungsten carbide-tipped bits with the hammer action switched on. For steel, use HSS bits with the hammer action off and a lower speed. Wood requires wood bits (twist or flat) with the hammer action off and a higher speed. Always start drilling at low speed to achieve a precise starting point.
Before starting work, fit the correct drill bit in the chuck using the chuck key, tightening all three jaws evenly. The auxiliary handle is fitted according to the drilling direction and the operator's dominant hand. The depth stop allows a series of holes of equal depth to be drilled – set it by loosening the clamp, adjusting the required length of the protruding part and tightening it again.
When drilling into concrete, hold the drill perpendicular to the surface and apply moderate axial pressure. Excessive pressure does not speed up drilling and places excessive load on the motor. In steel, the bit must be cooled with oil or cutting fluid for holes larger than 6-8 mm.
After finishing work, remove dust from the ventilation slots with compressed air. The chuck requires periodic cleaning and light lubrication – once opened, clean accumulated dust from the jaws and threads, then apply a thin layer of grease. The power cable should be checked regularly for damage to the insulation.
The motor's carbon brushes wear naturally and need replacing when their length falls below 5-6 mm. Signs of worn brushes include sparking visible through the ventilation slots, a loss of power and irregular motor operation. Brushes should be replaced in pairs, even if one brush is less worn.
