Cordless Rotary Hammer 21V 4.5J Brushless — KD3195
The KD3195 is a cordless rotary hammer with a brushless motor, designed for drilling and chiselling in concrete, brick and stone. The 21V battery power supply removes the need for access to mains electricity, which matters when working on scaffolding, in hard-to-reach places or outside buildings.

Brushless motor (BLDC)
Brushless motors have no carbon brushes to wear out. This translates into a longer service life for the drive unit, less energy lost as heat and higher efficiency under load — important when working for hours on a single battery charge.
4.5 J impact energy
Impact energy is the key parameter of a rotary hammer — it determines how much mechanical energy is delivered into the material with each blow. At 4.5 J, the tool can chisel concrete effectively, break up tiles and drill holes in masonry without the need to press down hard on the tool.
SDS-Plus chuck and 4 operating modes
The SDS-Plus standard allows tool-free changes of drill bits and chisels — simply push in and twist. Four operating modes (drilling, hammer drilling, chiselling, Vario-Lock) let you match the tool's action to the material and the task in hand without changing accessories.
Two 4Ah batteries included
The kit includes two 4Ah batteries. While one is powering the tool, the other can be on charge — which in practice eliminates downtime caused by a flat battery. A 4Ah capacity gives longer run times than standard 2Ah packs.

Operating modes — range of applications
Vario-Lock — what is it and when is it useful?
Vario-Lock mode lets you lock the chisel at a chosen angle (rotate it to the required position and lock it). It is used when working in corners, around pipes or in places where the standard chisel position would make the work difficult or risk damaging adjacent components.

SDS-Plus accessory compatibility
The SDS-Plus chuck is a standard used by most manufacturers of rotary hammer accessories. Drill bits and chisels marked SDS-Plus (also known as SDS+) will fit the KD3195 chuck regardless of the manufacturer. Before buying accessories, make sure the packaging shows the SDS-Plus marking — do not confuse it with SDS-Max, which is the standard for heavier demolition tools.
