SDS Plus cross-tip drill bit designed for drilling into concrete, reinforced concrete, sand-lime brick and clay brick. Fitted with a four-cutter X-Tip head in YG-11C tungsten carbide and a twin spiral that clears drilling debris.
The head is made from YG-11C tungsten carbide and offers increased resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage. The four cutting edges ensure stable drilling and minimise the risk of the hole drifting off course, even when rebar is encountered in the concrete.
The twin-flute design efficiently clears debris from the hole while drilling. This prevents the bit from jamming in the material, reduces resistance during work and extends tool life by improving cooling of the cutting zone.
40Cr chrome steel gives the drill bit body adequate mechanical strength and low thermal expansion. This minimises the risk of the bit seizing in the SDS Plus chuck during intensive work as the tool heats up.
The standard SDS Plus fixing system is compatible with most rotary hammers and hammer drills. It allows quick tool changes without the need for keys and provides a secure hold when hammer drilling.

The drill bit works with rotary hammers and hammer drills fitted with an SDS Plus chuck. Before buying, check the chuck type on your tool — the SDS Plus system is standard on tools up to around 1000 W. For heavier applications, larger SDS Max or SDS Top systems are used.
When drilling into reinforced concrete, use hammer drilling mode. If rebar is encountered, briefly switch to rotary-only mode so as not to damage the head. After finishing work, clean concrete dust off the drill bit and check the condition of the head.
The 370 mm working length allows holes to be drilled deeper than with standard drill bits, which is useful when fitting chemical anchors or running installations through thicker walls. The overall length of 460 mm also includes the length of the SDS Plus shank.
The ground surface of the body reduces friction in the hole and makes debris removal easier. The twin spiral works efficiently at the operating speeds of a rotary hammer, typically 800-1200 rpm for an 8 mm diameter.
